As we prepare for a new chapter of growth and innovation, we are seeking a hands-on Production Manager to lead operations, drive strategy, and reinvigorate the way we do business.
About the Role
This is a leadership role with real impact. As Production Manager, you will take full ownership of day-to-day operations while playing a key role in shaping the future of the business. You’ll manage production, maintenance, logistics, and compliance — but more importantly, you’ll be central to reviving the culture, exploring new opportunities, and bringing a fresh approach to an established operation.
We’re looking for someone who’s just as comfortable on the ground as they are in planning meetings. You’ll lead a practical, skilled team and have the autonomy to influence systems, improve workflows, and help PERMApole expand into its next phase.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily operations across manufacturing, logistics, and site coordination
Oversee plant and equipment maintenance, supported by the Maintenance Supervisor
Drive operational efficiency, cost control, and safe work practices
Inspire and lead production, maintenance, and admin teams
Manage production schedules, budgets, and performance reporting
Ensure compliance with WHS and environmental regulations
Build strong relationships with suppliers, clients, and local stakeholders
Contribute to strategic direction, innovation, and future product planning
About You
Senior leadership experience in manufacturing, timber, or heavy industry
Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on familiarity with plant operations
Confident managing teams, systems, and site-wide priorities
Financially literate with experience in budgets, costing, and planning
Solutions-focused, adaptable, and practical in your decision making
Understands safety culture, regulatory compliance, and operational risk
Ready to lead change and contribute to a refreshed business direction
