Your Opportunity
Are you passionate about helping individuals and families achieve housing stability and build brighter futures? We're seeking a dedicated and experienced Asset Officer to join our team and make a meaningful difference through the delivery of high-quality tenancy and property management services.
As an Asset Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring our properties are well maintained and our tenants feel supported and informed. You'll coordinate both planned and responsive maintenance programs, oversee contractors, and work collaboratively with tenants, service providers, and internal teams to achieve positive, client-focused outcomes.
One is a permanent full time role and one is a 6-month max term with a possibility of becoming permanent.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Identify tenant maintenance needs, determine priorities, and communicate clearly with all stakeholders.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors to ensure timely and quality service delivery.
- Conduct regular property inspections, maintenance scoping, and quality audits for both planned and reactive works.
- Manage maintenance reporting, invoicing, and ensure all deadlines are consistently met.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with organisational standards, relevant legislation, Australian Standards, and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
Requirements for Success
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar asset or maintenance coordination role.
- Proven experience in contractor and stakeholder management.
- Sound understanding of legislation, codes, and standards relating to property management and WHS.
- Demonstrated experience managing site maintenance budgets, work orders, and requisitions.
- Proficiency in CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with tenants and community members.
- Ability to complete site inspections and assess maintenance works for quality, safety, and compliance.
- Current driver's licence.
Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, referee checks, and WWCC.
