About the role

Ireland Civil Contracting PTY LTD is seeking experienced Civil Formwork Carpenters for a casual role based in Tweed Heads NSW 2485. As a Civil Formwork Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing and assembling formwork structures for a civil project involving large stormwater drainage structures and bridges.

What you'll be doing

Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings and specifications to ensure accurate construction of formwork

Measuring, cutting, assembling and erecting temporary formwork structures using various materials such as timber, plywood and steel

Maintaining and repairing formwork components to ensure structural integrity and safety

Collaborating with the construction team to coordinate formwork installation and removal

Adhering to all safety protocols and regulations to minimise risks on site

Providing support and guidance to less experienced team members

What we're looking for

Formal trade qualification in Carpentry or Formwork Carpentry

Minimum 3 years' experience as a Civil Formwork Carpenter, preferably on large-scale civil engineering projects

Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address challenges on site

Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail

Commitment to workplace health and safety

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
