About the role

Link-Force Au' is seeking a skilled and experienced Formwork Carpenter to join our team in Sydney, NSW. As a Formwork Carpenter, you will be responsible for the construction and installation of temporary structures used in concrete pouring and other construction projects. This is a casual position, offering flexible work arrangements to suit your needs.

What you'll be doing

Reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications to determine formwork requirements

Constructing, assembling, and installing formwork structures, including wall forms, column forms, and other concrete molds

Ensuring formwork is properly braced, aligned, and supported to withstand the weight and pressure of poured concrete

Performing necessary carpentry tasks, such as cutting, shaping, and fitting wood, metal, or other materials

Dismantling and removing formwork after concrete has set

Maintaining and repairing formwork equipment and tools

Collaborating with the construction team to ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Formwork Carpenter or similar position in the construction industry

Strong knowledge of formwork construction techniques, materials, and safety regulations

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications

Proficient in the use of power tools, hand tools, and other carpentry equipment

Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address challenges on the job

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow instructions effectively

Certification in Carpentry or a related trade is highly desirable
