Experienced Commis Chef:

Located in arguably one of best known cafe' precincts in Australia, Degraves St Melbourne.
Our venue requires the services of an experienced and enthusiastic cook to join our established team with growth opportunity within our sister store for the right person.

The role offers stability, security and great mentoring for a young cook that is looking to building a career and further develop a skill set based around a fast paced iconic venue.

Shifts - Vary based on requirements

Roles & Responsibilities:

Assist and input in all facets of kitchen work

Thorough knowledge of fast paced cafe style Breakfast

Thorough knowledge of Preparation and time management,

Maintain clean and tidy section follow OH&S

Produce and maintain high standards of quality meals in a timely manner

Work well within the team

Necessary Skills & Experience:
Have relevant accreditation' s & references

Experienced in cafe style kitchens

Good time management

Customer focused

Cert III Minimum Cert IV / apprenticeship

Have a minimum 3 years experience in this role or similar

Good people skills

Work Competently and Autonomously

Understand and maintain good communication

Work well within the team & follow direction by senior staff and management

Have good knowledge of the fundamentals of cooking and food safety, including dietaries
