NTHA are seeking a 3rd Year Electrical Apprentice to join our host employer’s team!
Located across Brisbane and surrounding areas, you’ll be working on residential and new housing projects alongside a supportive, skilled team.
NTHA is a nationally registered Group Training Organisation that employs and supports apprentices by placing them with host employers for quality, paid, hands-on training and experience.
ABOUT THE HOST EMPLOYER
Our host employer provides professional electrical services, air conditioning, and solar solutions across South East Queensland.
Their licensed electricians handle everything from split system and ducted air conditioning to electrical and lighting installations and switchboard upgrades.
They focus on energy-efficient and solar solutions that reduce electricity costs while providing year-round comfort. Every project is completed safely and professionally, with minimal disruption to homes and businesses. The team values punctuality and reliability, ensuring tailored services delivered on time. Whether it’s quick repairs or full installations, they’re committed to quality and customer satisfaction.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are excited to offer an apprenticeship opportunity for a motivated 3rd Year Electrical Apprentice looking to continue developing their skills and complete their trade qualification. You’ll work on a variety of residential projects, including new housing developments, while gaining hands-on experience under the guidance of qualified electricians. This is a great opportunity to grow your skills, work in a supportive small team, and take the next step in your electrical career.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential settings
• Carry out wiring, lighting, and power installations in new builds
• Support qualified electricians with troubleshooting and fault-finding
• Ensure all electrical work complies with safety and industry standards
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and plans
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised worksite
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a small team
• Communicate professionally with team members and clients

THE CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
• Full working and study rights in Australia (no visa restrictions)
• Current driver’s licence (P1 minimum) and reliable transport
• A genuine interest in the electrical trade
• Good work ethic, reliability, and strong attendance record (small team environment)
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• White Card (required)
• Working at Heights certification (advantageous)
• Previous on-site experience
