The Role: Electrical Apprentice / Solar Electrician / Trade Assistant – Up to $80/hr (Brisbane SEQ) Starting ASAP

Green Connection Electrical & Solar are seeking an Electrical Apprentice, Qualified Electrician (preferably solar installer) or Trade Assistant/Roofer to join our team in Brisbane, QLD. Working with Green Connection, you will have the opportunity to gain experience primarily in the booming solar and battery industry. With a long pipeline of work, you will be assisting a sole-trader with growing this small business in the Greater Brisbane and southeast Queensland region.

Competitive Pay: Wages starting from $30 per hour for 1st-year apprentices, up to $80 per hour for experienced and qualified solar electricians, plus paid overtime at 1.5x.

Set Hours & Flexibility: Fixed hours from 6 AM to 3 PM, plus paid annual leave — giving you time back for what matters after work.

Company Vehicle: Fully equipped work vehicle (Toyota Hilux) provided, including a fuel card and allowance for limited personal use.

What you'll be doing:

Installation of solar and battery systems in Greater Brisbane.

One-on-one learning and collaboration with a qualified and experienced electrician.

Attend training and development to gain applicable qualifications.

What we're looking for:

Prior experience (desirable) or interest in the solar industry.

Completion of or commitment to complete a 4-year electrical apprenticeship.

Completion of Year 10 or equivalent (minimum requirement for electrical apprenticeships).

Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa with appropriate work rights.

Valid manual driver's licence (essential for travel to work sites).

White Card or willingness to obtain before commencement.
