Assistant General Manager - Anytime Fitness Group

About the Role

We’re seeking a dynamic and commercially savvy Assistant General Manager to help drive the growth and operational excellence of our thriving Anytime Fitness group franchise.

With four high-performing clubs and exciting plans for expansion, this newly created role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the Group Owner to:

Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple locations.

Enhance business performance and member experience.

Lead a passionate team toward continued success.

This is a strategic stepping stone for a motivated leader with the ambition to progress into a standalone General Manager role as the business continues to scale.

The role will be primarily based across our Sydney network, including Western and North Sydney, with the option to work remotely at times following an initial three-month period. During you first three months, you’ll take part in a comprehensive onboarding program and spend time in our clubs to gain a deep understanding of our operations, member experience, and team culture.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor Club Managers to deliver exceptional member experiences.

Drive strategic and operational priorities in partnership with the Group Owner.

Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and KPI achievement.

Implement effective sales, marketing, and retention strategies.

Manage new club openings, acquisitions, and process improvements.

Ensure compliance and uphold company culture across all locations.

About You

You’re a confident and hands-on leader with a passion for the fitness industry and a track record of operational success. You thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and enjoy driving both people and commercial results.

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

Industry experience, ideally overseeing multiple clubs or extensive Club Management experience.

Strong commercial acumen with confidence in managing budgets, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Proven leadership ability with experience in coaching, motivating, and mentoring teams.

Demonstrated success in driving performance, member growth, and profitability.

A proactive, adaptable approach and genuine passion for the fitness and wellbeing sector.

What We Offer

Competitive salary ($110,000 - $130,000) + performance bonuses.
