Elixr has been a beautiful sanctuary for its members for 23 years. The club in the heart of Bondi Junction is one of Sydney's largest - set across two levels of 3500 sqm and offering two personal training studios, seven exercise class studios, a 25m indoor heated pool, the latest LifeFitness cardio equipment, luxurious changerooms with steam rooms and Dyson hairdryers, as well as an in-house nutritionist and massage treatment room.

Our offices are located within the club and directly opposite Westfield Bondi Junction.

There are over 250 classes to choose from per week with Pilates reformer and mat, Yoga, and Group Exercise including Spin, HIIT, Power, Aqua, Real Fitness Kickboxing and Floor Barre. Experience a club like no other.

Assistant Club Manager role opportunity:

An exciting opportunity has come up to join the dedicated and energetic team of managers and staff at Elixr as our motivated and confident Assistant Club Manager. Join our friendly, dynamic team and help us ensure excellent club operations, club experience and member retention.

Elixr is proud to partner with key brands like The Australian Ballet, Hamilton the Musical and Moulin Rouge! The Musical - as their official health club of choice in Sydney.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting and working closely with the Club Manager in key areas of club operations and strategic planning

Responsibility for maintaining member retention targets involving contacting members' cancellation requests

Manage the Member Care team's duties relating to handling member enquiries, complaint resolution and liaising with members via email, phone and in person

Providing leadership, training and support to the Reception team and Member Care team to ensure excellent customer service and an in-club experience

Recruitment, training and mentorship of team members

Assessing and ensuring the quality of work of the external cleaning company contractors covering both day cleaners' work and the night crew

The person we seek must possess a CAN DO attitude, find no task too BIG and most importantly thrive on working under pressure and deadlines. This full-time role is 5 days per week and reports directly to the Club Manager.

Standard hours Monday to Friday commencing 8am - 4pm or 9am - 5pm are part of the role with occasional coverage of shifts that may be required at reception outside of these hours.

The key performance objective of the role is to provide support to the General Manager across key club operation areas to ensure high levels of member retention and an excellent in-club experience. This includes the managing, recruiting, training and mentorship of member care and reception team personnel, and of course providing exceptional service to our valued members.

Do you also possess the following?

Leadership, recruitment, training and administration experience

A minimum of 1-2 years of leadership experience is required for this role.

Excellent communication, administration process and written skills

Previous administration experience in a fast paced service industry environment (health club, leisure or hospitality industries preferred).

Multi-Tasker: Exceptional organisation and time management skills

Maturity and confidence in dealings with members, staff and suppliers

Decisive and ability to 'think' on your feet

Openness and eagerness to improve processes
