About the role

Moonfishh' is seeking a talented Sushi Roll Chef & Japanese Cooking Experience Chef to join our team in our Albert Park, VIC 3206 location. This is a casual role, offering you the opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise in a vibrant and fast-paced environment.

What you'll be doing

Expertly prepare and craft a variety of delicious sushi rolls and other Japanese dishes

Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation and consistency

Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our customers

Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations

Maintain a clean and organised workstation

Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies as needed

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a sushi roll chef or Japanese cuisine experience

knife skills and the ability to prepare sushi and other Japanese dishes

Understanding of Japanese flavours, ingredients and cooking techniques

Passion for creating visually appealing and delicious sushi and Japanese dishes

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to food safety and hygiene

Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Strong teamwork and communication skills
