About the Role

Masscon are seeking a motivated Assistant Development Manager to provide development planning and delivery support. Reporting to the Sr. Development Manager, you will be a part of a property development group that are looking to grow their team due to a rapid expansion in their pipeline of projects.

You will be responsible for assisting to manage items throughout the entire development pipeline from Acquisition of sites, the Development Approvals, Design Coordination,Feasibility Study, Purchasers/Client Management, Sales & Marketing involved in the residential, mix-use and industrial developments.

The Key Duties

This role is ideally suited to a property and/or building and construction professional with 2 or more years experience in residential developments/projects.

Work with the Development Management Team on strategic construction and development proposals

Engagement, coordination and management of consultants, constructions teams and external advisors

Liaising with Local and State Government authorities and relevant statutory authorities

Coordinate planning and design documentation, including Development Applications

Monitor the performance of the development projects and their compliance with the development vision

Manage the key components of the development, including feasibilities, project costs, construction estimates, quality control, risk management and project timetable

Coordinate with financiers, sales agents, valuers and project QS/ Superintendents

Liaise and coordinate with various real estate agents and property valuers

Maintain compliant project record documentation

Utilize software to create reports and feasibilities for various projects.

This role is ideally suited to a candidate that is looking for a challenge, takes ownership of their work and is ready to be accountable for their role in the business.

Key Skills and Competencies:

Tertiary qualification preferably in Building & Construction, Architectural, Legal or Property Economics

A minimum of 2 years local experience in Class 2 building and construction / Property Development / real estate industry in similar roles.

Financial acumen – you will be comfortable with numbers.

Integrity, honesty and high ethical standards.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proactive, driven and have initiative.

Strategic analytical and systems thinking approach to problem solving.

Excellent attention to detail.

You must be highly organized and possess the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines consistently.

An enthusiastic and can-do attitude.

Self-motivated and a team player.

Advanced experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of products or similar
