About the role:
Our client is one of Queensland’s leading independent schools, recognised for its outstanding academic reputation and strong community values. They are seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join their supportive finance team, providing efficient financial and administrative support, with a focus on end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Accounts Payable – processing and payment of supplier invoices and reconciliations
• Managing Accounts Receivable, including tuition fee processing and reconciliations
• Handling debtor and cost recovery transactions in line with policy
• Supporting asset management and capital expenditure processes
• Performing daily banking, cash flow monitoring, and monthly reconciliations
• Maintaining petty cash and ensuring accurate GST/FBT coding
• Providing general administrative and finance support to staff and families

About You:

• Immediately available
• 3–5 years’ experience in a similar Finance or Accounting role
• High attention to detail and strong analytical and reconciliation skills
• Advanced Excel and database system experience (TASS experience highly regarded)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive, professional, and a strong team player
• Ability to obtain a Blue Card
