SEO & DIGITAL CONTENT SPECIALIST
VetComp is a veteran-focused advocacy firm dedicated to improving transparency, trust, and outcomes within the DVA claims and compensation sector.
We are seeking an experienced SEO and Digital Content Specialist with advanced skills in WordPress, SEO, Meta Ads, and content creation. In this role, you will lead the ongoing development and optimisation of VetComp’s digital presence — enhancing search visibility, driving audience engagement, and elevating the overall impact of our online content.
You’ll be responsible for optimising site performance, implementing SEO best practices, and producing clear, high-quality content that reflects our professional standards and mission to better support Australia’s veterans. This position suits a creative, analytical, and purpose-driven professional who thrives in a structured yet innovative environment.
1. SEARCH STRATEGY & ORGANIC VISIBILITY
Design and implement VetComp’s search optimisation strategy across websites, blogs, and campaign landing pages.
Conduct comprehensive keyword mapping, competitor analysis, and content performance audits to uncover new organic growth pathways.
Enhance on-page structure, metadata, schema markup, and internal linking to improve site authority and ranking outcomes.
Partner with content contributors to maintain alignment with SEO principles and VetComp’s professional tone.
Review and interpret search data, turning analytics into actionable improvements that strengthen traffic quality and conversion rates.
Keep pace with evolving algorithms, digital policy shifts, and SEO innovations relevant to professional service organisations.
2. CONTENT DEVELOPMENT & DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS
Create and oversee high-quality written and visual content that reflects VetComp’s credibility and mission.
Plan and coordinate publication schedules across major social and digital platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, and X.
Work with internal teams to produce informative articles, case studies, and awareness campaigns that connect with the veteran audience.
Maintain brand consistency through clear messaging, professional tone, and cohesive presentation across all media.
Expand organic reach through engagement initiatives, audience insights, and cross-platform storytelling.
3. DATA, INSIGHTS & OPTIMISATION
Utilise tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, and Tag Manager to monitor digital performance and user behaviour.
Prepare concise monthly reports outlining key metrics, insights, and data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
Run A/B and multivariate testing to enhance engagement, accessibility, and content effectiveness.
Translate analytical findings into actionable digital strategies to increase visibility, retention, and conversion.
Conduct regular SEO health checks to ensure all VetComp platforms remain compliant, secure, and fully optimised.
4. DIGITAL INNOVATION & STRATEGIC GROWTH
Identify new opportunities to advance VetComp’s web and content infrastructure through improved automation, user experience, and search performance.
Monitor best practices in data privacy, accessibility, and ethical marketing within Australia’s regulated professional sector.
Contribute to the continuous evolution of VetComp’s marketing strategy — supporting innovation, credibility, and long-term impact across the veteran support landscape.
REQUIREMENTS
Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related discipline.
3–5 years’ experience in SEO, content strategy, or digital marketing — ideally within a legal, advocacy, or consulting environment.
Demonstrated success driving organic performance in compliance-sensitive or reputation-driven organisations.
Deep knowledge of SEO strategy, keyword optimisation, and content performance analytics.
Exceptional writing and editing capability with a polished, professional style.
Highly competent with Canva or other content creation applications.
Proficiency in SEO, web, and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or equivalents).
Highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability.
Understanding of the veterans’ affairs sector, policy reform, or advocacy communications is advantageous.
WHY YOU’LL LOVE WORKING WITH VETCOMP
Join a mission-led organisation making measurable change for Australia’s veteran community.
Play a central role in shaping the digital identity and communication strategy of a respected advocacy firm.
Work alongside a supportive team that values ethical practice, creativity, and real-world results.
Enjoy competitive remuneration, hybrid working options, and opportunities for professional growth.
