Communications and Engagement Officer (Business and Precincts)
• Ongoing Part Time - 15.2 hpw
• Salary: $83,907 pa (pro-rata) + super

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and enthusiastic communications specialist to join our team at Maroondah.
We are looking for someone with a passion for supporting local business and precinct development who has the skills and experience to plan and deliver communications, engagement and marketing campaigns and activities.
Your creative flair and industry knowledge will continue the success of BizHub Maroondah and other initiatives, including event promotion, stakeholder communications, brand management and coordination of online and digital platforms including social media, EDM’s and website content.
You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills that can be tailored to the relevant audience, and the ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships across various service areas.
We’re also looking for someone with a passionate attitude to go the extra mile and a willingness to share knowledge and collaborate with others. With a few years already under your belt, you'll be ready to bring new ideas and creative thinking to the team.

About Maroondah City Council
Maroondah City Council was constituted as a new municipality on 15 December 1994. The City of Maroondah is made up of three wards, with each ward represented by three Councillors.
Council elections were held in November 2012 and the new Council will remain in office until the next election in 2016. Councillors elect the Mayor each year to serve as the principal ambassador for the City.
