Position
The Community Events Creator is responsible for planning and delivering engaging local community events that promote aged care education and awareness across communities throughout Australia. The role requires a creative and resourceful individual who can design and execute events that attract strong local participation, effectively leveraging marketing, management, and educational resources to maximise impact.
This is a hands-on, community-focused position suited to someone who enjoys building meaningful local connections, coordinating purposeful events, and turning community engagement into genuine client growth and referral opportunities.
Key Focus Areas
1. Community Event Planning and Delivery
Plan, coordinate, and deliver small-scale community education sessions, information days, and local expos.
Develop event plans, budgets, and timelines to ensure efficient delivery.
Coordinate logistics including venue bookings, catering, materials, and staffing.
Ensure events are well-branded, accessible, and aligned with Local Guardian’s mission.
2. Event Promotion and Engagement
Promote events through local community networks, partner organisations, and social media (with support from Marketing).
Build partnerships with co-hosts such as councils, seniors’ clubs, and health professionals, with CRM documentation for individual contacts.
Support Care Advisors in leveraging events for client and referral engagement.
Capture attendee information and feedback to measure event impact.
3. Event Reporting and Insights
Track attendance, engagement, and post-event outcomes (leads, referrals, partnerships).
Provide summary reports and insights to the CEO and Marketing team.
Recommend improvements for future event planning and local activation.
Key Responsibilities
Develop a quarterly Community Engagement Calendar for target regions.
Deliver high-quality events on time and within budget.
Liaise with Marketing to ensure consistent branding and promotion.
Support Care Advisors in pre- and post-event engagement activities, including ensuring complete CRM details.
Support Care Advisors to maintain relationships with local venues, councils, and community partners.
Skills and Attributes
Strong event planning and coordination skills.
Excellent written communication and relationship-building abilities.
Experience in community engagement, marketing, or events.
Very responsive, lean and quick to plan and develop simple complete business case plans.
Organised, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing priorities.
Comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively.
High proficiency with Microsoft Office, Eventbrite, Canva
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
Demonstrated problem-solving and initiative in event management.
