Talent Acquisition Consultant

$80,000 - $90,000 plus superannuation

Melbourne CBD location, hybrid working arrangements with genuine flexibility

6-month full time fixed- term contract with possibility of extension or transition to a permanent role

About the role

Due to upcoming growth, we are looking for a Talent Acquisition Consultant to join our People team, reporting to the People & Capability Manager. You will play a pivotal role in attracting top talent to support our airport venues operations and Support Office. You will be responsible for sourcing, engaging and assessing candidates through a variety of recruitment strategies. Beyond hiring, you will partner with people leaders, providing expert coaching and guidance to ensure they have the insights needed to make informed, high-impact hiring decisions. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where your expertise in talent acquisition will directly contribute to our success in airport operations. There will be the opportunity to work across multiple functions within the people team to continue to expand on and develop your skills.

Key Responsibilities

Proactively source, screen, and interview candidates, ensuring a strong and continuous talent pipeline.

Develop and manage compelling job advertisements, leveraging multiple sourcing channels to attract high-quality applicants.

Manage the recruitment process, from advertising and initial outreach to screening, interviewing, and reference checks.

Advise and coach hiring managers on best hiring practices, ensuring they have the tools and insights needed to make informed decisions.

Provide a seamless and engaging candidate experience, ensuring consistency and professionalism throughout the recruitment journey.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align recruitment strategies with workforce planning and operational needs.

Participate in recruitment events, including job fairs and information sessions, to actively promote ELR ANZ as an employer of choice.

Stay updated on industry hiring trends and market conditions, continuously improving sourcing strategies and talent attraction efforts.

Contribute to employer branding initiatives, positioning ELR ANZ as an employer of choice and enhancing candidate engagement.

What you will bring

With at least three years of recruitment experience, you thrive in a fast-paced environment and excel at attracting top talent in a competitive market. Your ability to deploy creative sourcing strategies, combined with strong stakeholder management, ensures a seamless hiring experience.

Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills to engage candidates and collaborate with hiring managers.

Resilience and adaptability to manage high volumes of screening calls and interviews while maintaining a positive candidate experience.

A problem-solving mindset, thinking on your feet to overcome recruitment challenges in a dynamic aviation environment.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring efficiency across all hiring processes.

The ability to work autonomously, taking ownership of your workload and driving successful outcomes.

Experience with recruitment systems and data-driven decision-making to optimise sourcing strategies.
