Amicus Legal Recruitment

Ready to move in-house but still want a fast-paced recruitment role and real influence? This role has it all. This is rare opportunity for an early-career internal recruiter.
1-3 years recruitment experience in a law firm or professional services firm is a must!
One of Australia’s most successful commercial law firms is seeking an experienced end-to-end Recruitment Consultant to join its Human Resources team in Melbourne. This is a people-focused, business-centric role offering real autonomy, where you’ll manage the full recruitment lifecycle across legal support and business services roles. You’ll be backed by leaders who genuinely want to see you thrive and given the scope to make a meaningful impact within a high-performing, supportive environment.
Why this role stands out:
You won’t just fill jobs. You'll build trusted, professional relationships with Partners, Senior Lawyers and Business Services leaders. You’ll take job briefs first-hand, coordinate interviews, negotiate offers and oversee the onboarding process, all while being empowered to run your desk in a way that works best for you.
You’ll be supported by a truly inspirational, warm and personable Talent Lead who will provide ongoing support, thorough guidance and genuine mentorship. You’ll also have regular liaison directly with the firm’s CEO and HR leadership team, so exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written) and strong interpersonal skills are essential.
This is an in-house recruitment opportunity with influence, not just admin. Each day will differ and involve you:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment of legal support and business services positions across multiple States
- Take briefs from Partners and senior leaders, advertise roles and screen candidates
- Coordinate interviews, provide feedback, and ensure a seamless candidate experience
- Prepare salary recommendations and business cases for approvals
You’ll thrive here if you have:
- 1–3 years’ recruitment experience, ideally gained within a law firm or professional services environment (agency or in-house)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills,
- A proactive, organised style and the ability to manage volume without losing detail
- A people-first approach and confidence to build relationships quickly
If you’re looking to grow your recruitment career in an in-house environment and the legal industry has secretly always been your passion, then don't miss this opportunity.
