About the Role

As an Assistant Manager/Team Leader, you’ll support the day-to-day sales operations of our bakery ensuring every customer enjoys an outstanding experience. You’ll learn all aspects of the business — from crafting quality coffee and assisting in the kitchen to leading by example on the shop floor. You will learn the skills to back up our leading operations manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide warm, professional customer service at all times

Prepare quality coffee and beverages as a barista

Assist in the kitchen with food preparation and baking tasks

Maintain cleanliness, presentation, and food safety standards

Lead and motivate the team during busy shifts

Support stock control, ordering, and opening/closing duties

Ensure smooth daily operations and uphold our bakery’s high standards

Back up ops manager

About You

You’re someone who thrives in a hands-on role and loves being part of a close-knit team. You bring energy, initiative, and a passion for great food and coffee.

You’ll have:

Previous experience in retail, café, or bakery environments (preferred)

Leadership potential or prior supervisory experience

Strong communication and organisational skills

A positive attitude and willingness to learn all areas of the bakery

Availability to work weekends and early mornings (negotiable)
