About the role:
Located in Kurri Kurri NSW, you will be part of a care team supporting our male client. We are seeking a male support worker who has a specific interest in cars and bikes, who could assist for 3 hours per week with manual handling activities where access is difficult.This role requires knowledge in cars and bikes as support workers will be required to assist him with these activities.
Your key responsibilities
Our team is looking for a dedicated and passionate Disability Support Worker, who can undertake the following key responsibilities,
- Meal Preparation
- Manual Handling
- General Household Tasks & Domestic Chores
- Organisation of Stock and Ordering
- Community Participation
About you.
To join the team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:
- Certificate III in Individual Support or above (Relevant care certificates may also be considered)
- Specific Disability / Complex Care Experience (Minimum 2 years' experience)
- Manual handling certificate and experience
- Current First aid and CPR
- Yellow Card/NDIS Worker's Screening Check
- NDIS Orientation Module
- English Fluency - Verbal and Written
- Drivers licence and Car
- Interest and Knowledge in cars and motorbikes
