An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated junior interior designer or sales consultant to join Melbourne’s premier luxury interiors showroom. This role is ideal for someone with 1 to 2 years' experience in interior design or design-focused sales who’s ready to take the next step in their career by combining creativity with client engagement in a stunning, design-led environment.

This established luxury interiors business has built an exceptional reputation over more than two decades, representing world-class furniture collections and delivering bespoke design solutions. Operating from a large, beautifully appointed Richmond showroom, they service discerning residential clients seeking premium, custom interiors. You’ll work alongside an experienced senior team, receiving mentoring and professional development with the opportunity to grow into a leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

Assist clients in the showroom with furniture selection, material choices, and tailored design solutions

Support senior designers in preparing presentations, proposals, and quotations

Contribute to the delivery of luxury interiors from concept through to installation

Build relationships with clients, suppliers, and trade partners through exceptional service and communication

Maintain showroom presentation and ensure the client experience aligns with the brand’s premium standards

Collaborate with the broader design and sales team to meet shared goals and deliver outstanding results

Participate in training, product launches, and design events to deepen industry knowledge

Skills & Experience

Tertiary qualification in interior design or related design discipline (preferred)

1–2 years’ experience in interior design, showroom sales, or design-focused retail

Passion for high-end residential interiors and luxury furniture design

Confident communicator with excellent presentation and relationship-building skills

Strong attention to detail, organisational ability, and a professional approach

Proficiency with design software such as SketchUp, InDesign, or AutoCAD (advantageous but not essential)

Self-motivated learner who’s eager to develop design and commercial skills under expert guidance

Availability for a five-day working week, including one weekend day on a rotating roster
