About The National Centre for Spatial Tissue and AI Research (NCSTAR):
The National Centre for Spatial Tissue and AI Research (NCSTAR) brings together researchers in academia, medicine and industry with the common goal of discovering novel drug targets and improving clinical decision making through the development of spatially-defined, tissue biomarkers.
The Research Centre Manager will work closely with Program Directors, the Clinical Director, the Grants and Finance Teams, and the People and Culture Department to facilitate establishment of the Centre.
Role Purpose / Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced professional to manage the Centre. You will be pivotal in assisting the Director with the growth of the Centre, by:
- Managing the coordination and partnership activities of the Centre
- Preparation and implementation of a strategic plan for the Centre
- Development of funding strategies and identification of funding opportunities
- Assistance with the funding application process
- Engagement with clinical, research and industry partners
- Participating in the leading-edge research at the Centre
- Staff Management
About you:
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Assisting with clinical research programs
- Assisting with multidisciplinary partnerships, including with industry partners and/or clinicians
- Qualifications and/or experience in medical research related to immunology
- Demonstrated record of achievement in:
- Experience in grant application processes in schemes like NHMRC, MRFF, foundations, and industry funding
- Demonstrated experience in scientific writing
- Excellent communication skills with multidisciplinary collaborators

Remuneration: Salary range is $109,791 to $121,898 per annum (full-time), plus super and generous salary packaging.
This is a full-time, fixed term appointment for two (2) years with possible renewal, subject to funding.
