About the Role:

You'll lead People Partnering, Talent Acquisition, and build a dedicated Employee Relations function, fostering strong internal relationships and delivering impactful outcomes.

What we are looking for:

• Extensive experience in leading high-quality HR functions, with a focus on People Partnering, Talent Acquisition, and Employee Relations, aligned to strategic and operational objectives.
• Strong strategic thinking and advisory skills, with demonstrated expertise in workforce planning, organisational design/redesign, and navigating complex HR challenges.
• Comprehensive understanding of employment frameworks, awards, and agreements, with the ability to lead and guide their application in performance and conduct matters.
• Proven leadership capability, including managing and developing high-performing teams, driving continuous improvement, and modelling values-based leadership.
• Highly developed communication and influencing skills, with the ability to provide expert advice to senior executives and stakeholders on sensitive and complex employee relations matters.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, with a track record of building effective partnerships across government, unions, non-government organisations, and other peak bodies.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to executive leadership, providing strategic input on governance, change management, and organisational direction.

About the BPC

The Building & Plumbing Commission (BPC) is Victoria's new regulator for building and plumbing.

It brings together the Victorian Building Authority (VBA), Domestic Building Dispute Resolution Victoria (DBDRV), and the domestic building insurance function of the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) into one organisation.

Key functions related to building and plumbing regulation will come together under one roof, including registration, inspection and compliance, practitioner discipline, dispute resolution, and domestic building insurance. These services will now part of the BPC and will be fully integrated over the next 12 months.
