Centered in the heart of Newcastle, Clarendon Hotel blends a vibrant bar and beer garden, contemporary dining, and 20 accommodation rooms upstairs.

We’re looking for an Accommodation Manager who loves creating seamless stays, managing details with care, and fostering a warm, professional environment for both guests and team members. You’ll be the driver behind great stays and glowing reviews: someone who cares deeply, notices the details, and feels the buzz of Newcastle’s growing hospitality and tourism scene.

THE ROLE:

Full-time position – Tuesday – Saturday

Manage day-to-day accommodation operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly from check-in to check-out.

Oversee rate management, OTA listings, room inventory, and the channel manager to ensure occupancy and revenue targets are met.

Lead guest experience across all touchpoints — pre-arrival, in-stay, and post-stay communication.

Work closely with housekeeping, maintenance, and linen suppliers to uphold our high presentation standards.

Coordinate with the broader management team to ensure smooth cross-department communication.

Handle rostering, training, and supervision of the front-office team.

Supporting the General Manager with operational reporting specific to accommodation.

THE RIGHT FIT:

You bring strong working knowledge of OPERA Cloud (or similar), with a solid understanding of reservations, reporting, and front-office functions.

You’re a hands-on leader — strategic, proactive, and people-focused, with strong operational instincts and a steady approach to problem-solving.

You have your finger on the pulse of Newcastle’s events, use that awareness to anticipate demand, adjust rates, and enhance the guest experience.

You have a sharp eye for detail and a genuine pride in how things look, feel, and function for guests.
