The Lucky Hotel is on the lookout for an Assistant Manager to support the GM as we take the venue forward into the warmer months.
This is already an award-winning venue which has a strong food, beverage, gaming and accommodation offering. As the Assistant Manager you will be across all departments and help shape and influence the team to drive best practice and a memorable experience for our guests.
We want to do things differently. The food won't be ordinary pub grub, the entertainment won't just be DJ’s or cover bands. We want to light it up and we want someone who has wanted to let loose and have some fun giving Newcastle memorable experiences and best in class hospitality.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The role of the Assistant Manager is to lead and co-ordinate all aspects of venue management, to support the GM and other managers achieving a common goal. Yes, you will ultimately report to the GM, but we believe in a collaborative environment. Your ideas will be welcome and rewarded. Your voice will be heard and respected.
The role will include but not limited to:
Accountability for achieving all revenue targets and having an agile approach to managing the business to ensure these targets are met.
Strictly adhere to and enforce all company policies to ensure the business is run effectively and efficiently.
Deliver all HR requirements for the business, including training and coaching
Oversee all operational requirements of the business including marketing, security, maintenance, food and beverage service, sales and events, gaming and cash management.
WHO ARE YOU
As a driven, passionate and focused individual you will possess the following attributes and skills:
Minimum 2+ years' experience in a duty manager capacity in a large multifaceted venue(s)
Strong background from operational Food & Beverage alike venues
Experience in the coordination of functions
Compliance expertise, licensee experience will be highly regarded
Passion for developing large teams and strong team player
This is a strong, hands-on role, leading and motivating from the front where your experience requires thinking on your feet to meet the multitude of operational service standards in a high-volume venue and diverse service offerings.
