We are looking for a motivated Shift Supervisor to join our newly refurbished Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) on the Sunshine Coast.
This role operates on a rotating roster:
Week 1: 5am – 1pm
Week 2: 1pm – 9pm
You’ll need to be comfortable working across both shifts.
About the role:
Lead and inspire: Manage a high-performing team of MRF operators, recycling hands, and equipment operators.
Oversee all key operations: From operations and maintenance to HR, purchasing, and distribution, you will have a broad scope of responsibility.
Drive continuous improvement: Implement process improvements and enhance product quality to maximise efficiency and productivity.
Ensure safety and compliance: Maintain a safe work environment, adhering to all Council and Worksafe guidelines. Manage incident reporting and conduct safety meetings.
Build strong relationships: Foster positive relationships with internal and external customers.
Make a difference: Contribute to a sustainable future by leading a vital recycling operation.
Strategic leadership opportunity: Shape the future of the facility and contribute to the organisation's success.
About you:
Previous relevant experience in waste management, manufacturing, warehousing or relevant industry
Minimum High school diploma or equivalent
Proven ability to supervise staff, manage performance, and address training needs while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and company policies.
Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
High level of commitment to quality and continuous improvement
Familiarity with safety protocols and environmental regulations
Physical ability to perform required tasks (standing, reaching, bending, lifting, carrying)
Proficiency in computer applications for reporting and documentation
Flexibility to work public holidays or OT as required
