About the role

We’re looking for a dependable and hands-on Leading Hand - Storeperson to support the afternoon shift at our busy Cairns Steel Centre. This is a great opportunity to step into a team leadership role and be part of a growing branch within a well-established Australian business.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll work closely with the Day Shift Supervisor to ensure orders are picked, loaded, and ready for dispatch. You’ll lead by example, help coordinate the team, and keep things running safely and efficiently.

$40–$41 per hour (including shift allowance), with paid overtime available

Afternoon shift: 3pm – 11pm

Support and guide the afternoon shift team

Ensure safe and accurate picking and loading of orders

Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Work closely with other supervisors to meet daily targets

What we’re looking for

Experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment

A positive, team-focused attitude and willingness to lead by example

A valid C Class driver’s licence

A current forklift licence (preferred)
