About the role:
As the Senior Consultant, Change & Future Workforce you are responsible for taking a hands-on and proactive approach to developing, planning, implementing and evaluating strategic workforce programs and initiatives. These programs aim to achieve effective organisational change, create better leaders, improve engagement, enhance culture and enable dynamic workforce planning that inspires the best possible outcomes for Deakin.
You will facilitate and implement university wide workforce planning programs, engagement action planning and design and deliver bespoke workshops and solutions to embed Deakin’s culture vision in all elements of culture; from symbols, rituals and routines through to aligning organisational structures and control systems. You will also contribute to consistent practices for organisational change, diagnose challenges and opportunities, facilitate change, organisational design and workforce planning, including talent and succession, in partnership with senior leaders and teams, People & Culture Partners and relevant People & Culture/People Services.
As The Senior Consultant, Change & Future Workforce, you will:
- Design, develop and implement University wide strategic workforce solutions and partner with leaders to drive effective change and implement new concepts that help to transform ways of working.
- Lead end-to-end organisational culture change, organisational design, and workforce planning projects.
- Facilitate appropriate research, governance, design, consultation (in alignment with university obligations) and implementation activities.
- Deliver effective culture and organisational change and bespoke solutions, leveraging and contributing to university-wide frameworks, policies, and governance practices.
- Analyse problems, weigh up a range of options to identify accessible and inclusive solutions and translate complex issues into clear and understandable goals and targets for Deakin.
- Develop guidebooks, toolkits, and self-service resources to support culture change, talent and succession, team effectiveness and ways of working.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience developing and implementing contemporary organisational change solutions, strategies and services to achieve Deakin’s objectives
- Demonstrated ability to effectively design, develop and implement organisational design and/or change/workforce initiatives
- High level consulting and facilitation skills and ability to form strong partnerships
