About the role (Face to Face Training)
This position generally suits an individual who wishes to change career from a pastry chef to a VET Trainer to impart your skills and knowledge.
This position involves on-going weekend roster.
We are currently seeking a VET Trainer Lecturer for Patisserie for a Part-time position, Starting as soon as possible, for the below key roles, but not limited to:
Report to the Academic Manager on a daily basis for International students.
Report to the Training Manager on a daily basis for Local students.
Assist the Academic Manager and Training Manager with day-to-day operations.
Train, demonstrate and assess students of SIT31021 Certificate III in Patisserie and and SIT40721 Certificate IV in Patisserie.
Manage respective intake/cohort's academic course progression.
Monitor respective intake/cohort's attendance.
Conduct work based training visits.
Able to discipline, motivate and lead a cohort of apprentices.
Contribute to the development of resources.
Partake in validation and moderation processes as required.
Maintain industry currency in industry.
Liaise and work effectively with other trainers and administration staff.
Skills and experience
The right candidate will possess:
Ability to work weekends ongoing.
Excellent training skills in the kitchen as well as in class.
Great class/kitchen management skill.
Excellent communication and hand over skills.
An excellent attitude towards work.
Great professional skills.
Great teamwork.
The ability to follow session plans, time tables and liaise with the right parties.
Ability to troubleshoot issues within own scope of responsibility and report to the relevant parties.
The right candidate must have/hold:
TAE40116, TAE40122, TAE40110 with TAEASS502 & TAELLN401. (or equivalent mandatory )
COVID19 Certificate of vaccination.
SIT31021 Certificate III in Patisserie or Equivalent.
SIT40721 Certificate IV in Patisserie or Equivalent.
Industry currency as a Pastry Chef.
At least 3 years of experience as a Chef.
Working rights in Australia with no restrictions and/or Australian Permanent Residency and/or Australian Citizenship.
(No experience as a trainer is required as you will be well supported and provided with training to ensure our quality training standards are met and maintained through-out)
