Remuneration: Starting from $77,201.60 inclusive of superannuation

About The Role:

As a Technical Simulation Officer - Horticulture, you'll play a vital role in supporting hands-on horticulture training. Working closely with educators and students, you'll help prepare practical learning activities, maintain equipment, and ensure a safe and engaging environment across indoor and outdoor settings.

This part-time position (0.5 FTE) 3 days per week, offers a unique blend of technical work, student interaction, and outdoor activity—perfect for someone passionate about horticulture and education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of practical horticulture training by preparing classroom activities and maintaining specialist equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards across horticulture, landscaping, and conservation settings.
  • Manage stock ordering, invoicing, and accurate record-keeping of technical support activities.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and students to provide technical assistance and maintain a safe, engaging learning environment.

  • Relevant licences and qualifications (desirable).
