About the Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Tenders and Contracts Officer to join our Procurement & Contracts Service Unit.

Reporting to the Service Specialist for Tenders & Contracts, you will support the end-to-end procurement process in line with policy and legislation, while upholding the highest standards of probity, transparency, and accountability.

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver specialist procurement advice and manage tenders, quotations and contract processes that drive value and efficiency.
  • Build procurement capability across the organization through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure best practice, fairness and compliance in all procurement activities.

About you
We are seeking an individual who is motivated, process-oriented, and demonstrates strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to prepare procurement and technical documents.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy and proficiency across a range of business systems and applications.
  • Experience in Procurement with a minimum Cert IV Qualification or similar in procurement, supply management, contract administration, business, Law or relevant field.
  • Demonstrated experience in a procurement team including knowledge and understanding of procurement policies, guidelines and procedures within a local and/or public sector environment.
  • Well-developed negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.

Salary: Starting from Level Five Step 1 – Step 4 ($93,945.24 - $99,660.24) City of Cockburn Industrial Agreement 2025 based on qualification and experience.

Where an applicant does not meet or exceeds the requirements outlined in the position description, the role may be reclassified and an alternative remuneration package may be offered, subject to organisational needs and in line with the City of Cockburn Industrial Agreement 2025.
