Receptionist – Midwest Community Living Association | $68,330 negotiable
Midwest Community Living Assoca
Posted 13 days ago
Twenty years ago, a group of Geraldton parents started Midwest Community Living Association because they wanted their children with disability to have real lives, homes of their own, choices that mattered, inclusion that wasn't just a buzzword. That vision is still what gets us up in the morning. We are truly local. Our support workers, our administration team, our Board, our customers, and their families all choose to live in the Midwest region. We know this community, its strengths, its people, its heart.
This role is available due to recent positive restructures, and internal progression. We’re looking for values-aligned people who are good at, and care about, what they do to join our growing team.
What your day looks like:
You are the first voice people hear when they call. The first face people see when they walk through the door. For families navigating disability support, that first warm and compassionate interaction means the world
Manage the front desk
Be the go-to person when something needs organising
Keep the office running smoothly - supplies ordered, facilities in order, petty cash and payments, banking and card reconciliation, invoicing and statements sorted, things filed where people can find them
Work in collaboration with the broader team, in particular the Service Administrator
Rearrange cancellations and confirm appointments, training sessions, organising meetings and functions
Arrange travel, accommodation, and short stay assistance
Attend meetings and community events
Uploading documentation and reports
Why you will love this role if you:
Can talk to anyone and put anyone at ease with your calm and warm manner
Love being in an environment that serves your community
Are naturally organised, yet adaptable and flexible
Keep things ticking over, are efficient and reliable
Enjoy learning and are keen to take on new tasks and responsibilities
Are comfortable with technology, including the Microsoft suite
You can switch between tasks without getting flustered
You put your hand up when something needs doing
Are observant and have natural attention to detail. You notice when the printer's about to run out of paper, when things need organising or if someone’s been sitting in reception waiting too long
You have worked in a reception role before (even just a year or so) and you know you're good at it, or may be ready to step back into work, for example, after time away and want an office role with regular hours, genuine purpose and connection
You want to work somewhere that values people, both within the team and the community respectively
You like being busy and tend to take initiative or look for something to do
Experience Required:
You have experience in a reception role (ideally in social services, community sector, or similar people-focused environment. Working in an NDIS setting will be highly regarded but not essential.
You have or are working towards a Certificate III Accounts Administration or Business or equivalent (desirable)
