THE JOB:

We are seeking an Operations Manager to coordinate and manage daily operations to ensure efficiency, compliance, HR, procurement, projects, logistics and business development . This role is to consider and implement actions and procedures to ensure a safe working environment with minimal impact on the environment and the provision of high quality, long lasting protective coatings for clients who are essential to the Australian economy.

Primary tasks include:

Manage improvement projects

Lead and guide personnel to complete jobs efficiently

Working effectively in a team environment ensuring you maintain consistency and support to all members and our client as required

Develop solutions to ensure increased productivity in the business

P&L responsibility of NXT Divisions

Manage Timesheets

Follow-up on ongoing projects by coordinating and monitoring closely with project personnel to achieve budget baseline

Troubleshoot, resolve and/or escalate specific customer problems

Mentoring project team in supervising the activities of engaged contractors to ensure a suitable environment for customers, contractors, staff and confirming all services operate effectively and safely

Maintain and develop positive relationships with our clients and coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery, good customer services and achieve company goals

Manning and roster management

Recruitment of key personnel within your team

Identify opportunities to reduce waste and cost across business operations

Minimise the human risk profile in partnership with operational leaders in accordance with the existing management system

Being proactive in communicating with tenants formally and informally to gain insights, key drivers and respond to any relevant issues promptly

Confirming that the services engaged and purchased are within budgeted costs

Undertaking regular inspections to proactively identify any change or new risk scenarios and certify that the agreed risk management plan reflects the current state of the asset and is implemented in accordance with client instructions.

Other Duties:

The above list is not exhaustive, and the role may change to meet the overall objectives of the company.

Fulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required.

Requirements:

A can-do attitude demonstrating strong leadership skills.

Proficient in Microsoft office

Structural background highly regarded.

Must be computer illiterate

Strong problem solving skills

Certificates / Diplomas / Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety / Business / Commerce / Law / Marketing / Management / Logistics / Human Resources / Engineering / Construction Management or equivalent experience.

Extensive experience and knowledge in tank refurbishment works is highly regarded.

Relevant commercial or practical experience in the mining, construction, transport, power and or oil and gas industries.

Thorough knowledge of business systems and management; the ability to understand technical specifications; knowledge of OHS requirements; proficient in MS office.
