About the role
Role Purpose:
- To provide generalist HR services, supporting the organisation's strategic objectives and ensuring employees contribute to these goals. The role also involves offering timely and accurate advice on HR policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Administration: Reviewing candidate paperwork, preparing employment contracts, ensuring HRIS accuracy for new employees, and coordinating position description updates.
- HR Generalist Services: Providing advice on HR policies, updating organisational charts, coordinating staff recognition and wage subsidies, reviewing HR policies due to changes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Reporting & Compliance: Generating HRIS data reports, ensuring compliance with police checks, AHPRA, visas, fixed-term contracts, and NDIS, supporting site accreditation, and preparing documentation for meetings.
- Other Duties: Managing departmental financial reconciliation, supporting Enterprise Agreement negotiations, providing data to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, offering administrative support to the People and Culture team, and overseeing security fob allocation.
- Safe Work Environment (WHS): Conducting work safely, reporting hazards, and complying with WHS policies.

About you
- Essential: Proven experience as an HR Officer or Administrator, proficiency in computers and Google Workspace, strong organizational, time management, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, ability to interpret industrial instruments, and a sound knowledge of contemporary HR practices, policies, industrial relations, and basic Aged Care Standards. Also requires strong ethics, reliability, flexibility, and discretion.
- Desirable: Qualifications in HR/Business.
