About the Role
Be the Heart of Safety & Wellbeing – Make Every Day Safer, Healthier, and More Supportive at LHG!
As our Safety, Wellbeing & Injury Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting LHG’s commitment to a safe and caring work environment. Reporting to the Manager Safety and Wellbeing, you’ll help implement safety systems, assist with compliance activities, and promote staff wellbeing across all sites.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Supporting incident reporting, inspections, and safety-related training.
- Assisting with wellbeing initiatives and injury management tasks.
- Helping staff and contractors use safety systems effectively.
- Providing practical support to WHS Committee members and safety role holders.
- Coordinating documentation, reports, and communications that keep our safety and wellbeing efforts running smoothly.
This is a dynamic role with a strong safety focus, balanced by meaningful contributions to wellbeing and injury support. You’ll be part of a passionate team working to ensure LHG meets its obligations while fostering a positive, inclusive, and health-conscious workplace.
About You
You’re a proactive, people-focused professional who thrives on making workplaces safer, healthier, and more supportive. Whether it’s helping staff navigate safety systems, coordinating wellbeing initiatives, or assisting with injury management, you bring a calm, organised approach and a genuine care for others. You’re not just detail-oriented—you’re relationship-oriented, too. You know how to communicate clearly, support teams, and foster a culture of safety and wellbeing.
You may have experience in WHS, wellbeing, or injury management—or you might be ready to grow into this space. Either way, you’re eager to contribute, learn, and make a meaningful impact across our sites. If you’re someone who enjoys variety, values teamwork, and wants to help create a workplace where people feel safe and supported, we’d love to hear from you.
Candidates may be subject to a pre-employment medical assessment with the successful candidate requiring current NDIS worker clearance. In accordance with current health guidelines for the aged care sector, candidates are encouraged to have all recommended vaccinations.
