Posted 4 days ago
We’re seeking an experienced General Practitioner (GP), registered to practise in Australia, to join us as Chief Medical Officer (CMO).
About Marko
Marko is redefining preventive health. We provide advanced blood biomarker testing, data-driven analysis, and personalised action plans that help people understand and optimise their biology.
Our clinical team interprets bloodwork through a holistic lens — connecting nutrition, lifestyle, and physiology — to create practical, evidence-based pathways toward better health and longevity.
About the Role
As Marko’s CMO, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring clinical excellence, safety, and integrity across all aspects of our service. You’ll oversee patient testing, review and refine clinical protocols, and collaborate with our internal nutrition and science team to ensure our recommendations meet the highest standards of medical care.
This is a part-time, flexible position that can be done remotely from anywhere in Australia between the hours of 5:30am – 11:30pm, 7 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical oversight for patient testing, interpretation, and follow-up procedures
Ensure compliance with Australian medical regulations, privacy, and pathology standards
Review and refine clinical pathways for biomarker-based health assessments
Collaborate with our scientific and nutrition teams on case reviews and clinical governance
Offer expert guidance on new testing panels and medical content
Serve as a trusted medical advisor for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
About You
You are a qualified General Practitioner, currently registered and in good standing with AHPRA, with a strong interest in preventive, integrative, or lifestyle medicine. You value innovation, evidence, and empowering patients through data-driven insights.
Essential Criteria
MBBS (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner
Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), the Australian College of Remote & Rural Medicine (ACRRM), or an equivalent specialist qualification
Minimum 5 years’ clinical experience as a practising GP
Understanding of (or interest in) functional medicine, integrative health, or biomarker-based care
Strong attention to detail and commitment to clinical governance
Comfortable using Telehealth platforms, digital records, and online communication tools
Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
Work from home set-up
A quiet, private workspace is required for Telehealth consultations. Clinicians must have high-speed internet, a webcam, and a microphone to ensure clear communication.
Why Join Marko?
Flexible, remote work – balance clinical practice with leadership
Be part of a visionary team transforming how Australians understand their health
Opportunity to influence the direction of a fast-growing, innovative company
Collaborative, mission-driven environment focused on measurable impact.
