We’re seeking dependable and professional individuals to join our casual pool of Security Monitors in Alice Springs.

About the Role

As a Security Monitor, you’ll be responsible for overseeing uncleared personnel, maintaining site security, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. This casual role offers flexible shifts and is ideal for candidates who are adaptable, observant, and committed to maintaining a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to restricted and controlled areas.

Prevent unauthorized access and protect sensitive materials.

Operate handheld radios for site communications.

Respond to emergency events and maintain control of personnel.

Complete incident and infraction reports.

Support other operational areas (e.g., custodial, food services, trades) as needed.

Promote and maintain health and safety compliance.

What You’ll Need

Essential:

Year 12 completion

Manual Driver’s Licence

White Card (Construction Induction)

Minimum 1 year of work experience

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to work in extreme weather and physically demanding conditions

Desirable:

Previous security experience

Experience with handheld radio communications

Working at Heights and Elevated Work Platform tickets

Employment in this role is subject to the successful applicant obtaining and maintaining a minimum NV1 Security Clearance issued by AGSVA

Eligibility for clearance requires meeting specific citizenship, background, and character requirements.
