Join the established Building & Maintenance Department at a leading private school. As the Building Maintenance Manager, you’ll lead a small team to deliver preventative and reactive maintenance, manage contractors, and support minor and major projects across modern, well-maintained facilities. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of leadership, planning, and practical work.

The Role:
- Lead, mentor and manage the Maintenance Team to deliver high-quality maintenance outcomes;
- Plan, coordinate and oversee preventative and reactive maintenance across multiple buildings and facilities;
- Manage contractors and suppliers across services including cleaning, grounds, security and catering;
- Provide logistical and operational support for school activities, events and projects;
- Contribute building, construction and asset management expertise to minor and major projects; and
- Managing a busy live-site, this role is hands on and will offer variety day to day.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Trade or tertiary qualifications in building, construction or related fields are an essential requirement;
- Proven experience in building or maintenance management;
- Leadership experience as a manager, foreman or equivalent, with the ability to motivate and develop a small team;
- Experience working in a multi-building, campus or school/university environment is highly desirable; and
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to guide a team and interact with everyone from suppliers to students.
As this role is on a school campus, the successful candidate will be required to complete a ‘Working with Children Check’
