EnergyCo NSW is spearheading the transition to renewable energy to deliver clean electricity to the people of NSW as coal-fired power stations near closure.
About the Opportunity
Join a collaborative team where laughter and fun is part of the daily rhythm, and a shared desire to support the renewable energy transition. Beyond the banter, this is serious, purpose-driven work and the EnergyCo Policy and Strategy team is seeking a Manager Network Access to join us in designing and delivering policies that will shape the future of renewable energy in NSW.
You’ll lead the development, implementation, and management of access schemes within Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) to support wind, solar, and battery projects critical to mitigating climate change. Working closely with key partners - from the ASL and Energy group within DCCEEW to industry stakeholders - you’ll provide expert advice, coordinate access scheme activities, and make sure processes and systems are in place to run these schemes effectively. If you’re a natural collaborator who loves a good laugh but is deeply committed to building a cleaner energy future, this is the role for you!
About You
You’re someone who thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment where no two days are the same – flexible when things shift, quick to reprioritise, and always focused on getting things done. You’re just as comfortable designing policy as you are delivering a complex program of work, managing contracts, or advising senior stakeholders. With strong strategic thinking skills and a natural ability to build relationships, you know how to bring people together to align on direction and deliver results.
You excel at managing key stakeholder relationships and can balance long-term strategic goals with the operational demands of day-to-day delivery. In a working environment, you’re a steady hand and an influential communicator who helps keep messaging consistent and cohesive. Ideally, you’ll bring experience from the energy or government sector, but above all, you show initiative, collaborate with intent and bring a practical, “let’s make it happen” attitude to everything you do.
Essential Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in economics, law, engineering or other relevant discipline and/or equivalent relevant experience
- Capacity and willingness to travel to regional locations, and to work outside of core business hours in the evening and on weekends.
- Current Australian Drivers licence (Class C minimum).
