With more than 30 skilled full-time staff, and handling projects from $10K to $5M, we undertake projects ranging from small maintenance works through to large scale works and specialise in building new apartments to architecturally designed alterations and extensions that enhance existing structures, and nationwide commercial fitouts.

About the Role

In line with established policies and procedures, as well as individual client or stakeholder requirements, the Estimator will assist the business to identify and manage risks and opportunities in new projects through the timely production of accurate estimates and tender documents while supporting the team in achieving its objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

Review and prepare bill of quantities and pricing from tender documents.

Prepare detailed cost estimates, tenders, and budget submissions for a variety of building projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client requirements and regulatory standards.

Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors and undertake procurement activities via EstimateOne to obtain relevant quotations.

Support the Senior Estimator and Project Managers with tender submissions, addendums and quotations, including taking ownership of tender document management across our various systems.

Liaise directly with clients, architects and other stakeholders during the tender process to ensure confirmation of work scopes, and to manage client requests.

This is a full time, office-based position at our head office in Thomastown.

About You

In order to be successful in this role, you will have:

5+ years’ experience in residential or commercial estimating within the building and construction industry (quantity surveying and/or site measurement/set out experience, will be highly regarded).

A trade or tertiary qualification in a construction practice, with the ability to read engineering drawings and architectural plans.

Excellent communication skills, with good time management and strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Demonstrated proficiency with project management systems (BuilderTrend preferred), and Microsoft Office (with advanced Excel skills), Teams and One Drive, with a quick adaption to new technologies.

A thorough understanding of project management principles and their application within the construction industry.
