About the role:
- Deliver generalist social work services, as a member of a multidisciplinary team in a manner that fosters professional and ethical excellence and ensures the social, emotional, cultural and environmental circumstances of the patient and/or their carer are valued and their health outcomes optimised.
- Provide clinical practice supervision to less experienced social work practitioners and students commensurate with level of experience and contribute to the professional development of staff to ensure the maintenance of professional clinical standards within the Department of Social Work.
- Active involvement in professional growth and continuing education activities including provision of in-services and information to educate individuals and the public regarding Social Work issues.
About you:
Mandatory possession of a Qualification degree in Social Work from a recognised tertiary institution and eligibility for professional membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Applicants must not have any ethical matters outstanding that may otherwise preclude eligibility for professional membership with the AASW.
- Overseas applicants must obtain a letter from the AASW confirming eligibility for professional membership and provide a copy with their position application.
- The successful applicant must maintain their continuing professional development at a level that would at least meet the accreditation standards of the AASW.
- The successful applicant is required to uphold the AASW Practice Standards 2013 and, if applicable, the AASW Practice Standards for Mental Health Social Workers 2014 and abide by the AASW Code of Ethics.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $132,567 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $43.68 - $58.59 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
