We’re now seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to shape its culinary identity and lead the kitchen team in delivering Queensland’s most exceptional food and service.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll oversee all kitchen operations, lead a talented team, and deliver a menu that reflects the venue’s coastal location and seasonal produce. You’ll work closely with the Venue Manager to align culinary strategy with business goals, ensuring quality, consistency, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Design and execute seasonal menus that showcase local ingredients and creativity.

Lead, train, and inspire the kitchen team in a safe and productive environment.

Manage food preparation, presentation, inventory, and cost control.

Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.

Collaborate on budgeting, staffing, and event planning.

Support marketing initiatives and contribute to the venue’s brand identity.

What We’re Looking For

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior kitchen role.

Formal culinary training or equivalent experience.

Food Safety Supervisor certification.

Demonstrated financial acumen and proven ability to manage operations and deliver financial outcomes.

Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills.

Passion for food, innovation, and hospitality excellence.
