Position Overview:
Become a member our team as a CNC Plasma Cutter Machine Operator, operating a Bystronic Laser Cutter while also completing basic steel manufacturing tasks using presses and rollers according to diagrams and drawings.

You’ll be working with mainly mild steel with some quench and tempered plates that can range from 1mm to 150 mm thick alongside fellow factory hands and machine operators.

Responsibilities:

• Operate Plasma Cutters as required
• Operate presses and rollers as required
• Use basic hand and power tools to refine work
• Read and interpret complex drawings
• Operate forklifts when required
• Operate overhead cranes / gantry cranes when required

Requirements:

• Experience with CNC Oxy or Plasma cutters
• Background in sheet metal work
• Own PPE and reliable transport
• Forklift ticket
• Overhead crane / gantry crane experience

What’s on Offer:

• $32 per hour plus penalty rates for Overtime – rises to $38 perm
• A casual to permanent role; long-term position offered after 500 hours (3-4 months)
• Immediate start if successful
