Plant Mechanic – Equipment Hire Company

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Plant Mechanic /mechanic to join our team. This role involves servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of machinery, including access equipment cherry pickers small earth moving, power, lighting, and general hire equipment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our fleet remains in top condition and ready for our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform repairs and general maintenance on equipment and attachments.

Carry out routine servicing on machines both in the workshop and in the field.

Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults and breakdowns efficiently.

Prepare equipment for hire and conduct pre-hire inspections.

Assist with other mechanical and related workshop tasks as required.

About You:

Trade qualification as a Plant Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, or similar.

Previous experience with hire or construction equipment (desirable but not essential).

Diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Current driver’s licence (HR licence advantageous).
