The Opportunity

We seek a experienced Mobile Crushing Fitter / plant Mechanic to join our team at Coffs Harbour. This role offers a full-time position. Regular Saturday work will be required, attracting overtime rates.

As our Maintenance support, you’ll be responsible for the performance and reliability of our crushing and screening plant. You’ll lead proactive maintenance efforts, reduce downtime, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards with support from local contractors.

The role will require but is not limited to;

Ensuring site commitment to regulatory compliance and engagement

Adheres to company policies and undertakes safe working practices and procedures

Reduce reactive maintenance and proactively improve unplanned downtime

Identifying and prioritising defects in a maintenance program

Day-to-day repairs of the crushing plant (both minor and major).

Involvement in the planning of down-day repairs in line with budgeting

Developing and executing monthly maintenance plans to service business needs

Participating in weekly meetings with key stakeholders

Requirements

Minimum 3 years' prior contract crushing/quarry maintenance experience

Mechanical trade qualification

Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships, communicate and collaborate effectively with all stakeholders

A history of significant repairs and diagnosing / troubleshooting crushing plants.

Ability to identify and introduce improvements in maintenance practices and plant performance.

Be focused, reliable and able to work independently and in a team environment

The applicant will need broad experience in crushing circuits and be willing to operate kit as required to aid the team in this cross-functional role.

Experience with hydraulic systems maintenance and repair
