CHC are based in Western Sydney and are seeking a qualified Plant/ Diesel mechanic for a full-time Field service role maintaining our fleet.

You will be provided a fully equipped service truck (MR) and the support of our current subcontracted mechanics. The operators will be available to assist you during planned maintenance and break down.

Our fleet is made up of Caterpillar, Volvo and Kenworth Your main focus will be on the plant. Graders, Dozers, excavators, compactor, dump trucks etc.

Applicant must be able to self-manage and prioritise there time efficiently for planned schedule servicing and breakdowns. And be able to liaise with Management on planning major works and schedule fleet upgrades.

What we are looking for:

Ability to work independently in the field.

Diagnose faults and conduct inspections on all plant and equipment.

Perform Routine Maintenace to ensure we minimize downtime.

Ensure work is documented correctly and complies with site specific requirements.

Knowledge of Hydraulic systems

Knowledge of electrical systems and welding skills are an advantage

MR license (Minimum) HC desirable

White card

Cert 3 in Heavy Commercial or Mobile plant technology
