About the role
Our client is seeking a contractor to join their Newcastle team as a Building & Pest Inspector. You’ll focus mainly on pre-purchase inspections, identifying risks, assessing compliance, and producing clear reports to support safe property transactions.

Duties

• Identify structural defects, safety risks & compliance issues
• Carry out pre-purchase inspections across the Newcastle region
• Produce detailed inspection reports with actionable recommendations
• Inspect subfloors, roof cavities & external roofing areas
• Provide professional advice and liaise with clients

Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated experience in building and/or pest inspections
• Certified in Timber Pest Management (CPPUPM3008 & CPPUPM3010) — or willingness to enrol
• Certificate IV in Building (minimum requirement)
• Builders licence preferred
• Excellent report writing skills & attention to detail
• Police clearance, valid driver’s licence & reliable vehicle
