We are looking for an experienced supervisor with a trade assistant/mechanical background who is able to work during the day shift between the hours of 7am to 3pm at our Coburg site. You will be supporting a small team of other forklift drivers on site with our recycling materials.
Please note, this role will be casual and after 3 months there is a strong likelihood of progressing to permanent.
About the role:
Operate the forklift as required to bale materials delivered to the site
Identify, analyse, and troubleshoot faults on the baler to ensure efficient operation
Safely operate plant equipment and maintain clear communication via two-way radio
Adhere to all health and safety procedures and policies, reporting any near misses or faults promptly
Load walking floors with commingled materials for transport off-site
Operate the baler machine, including stacking and loading trucks as required
Lead by example, supporting and guiding team members to achieve operational success
About you:
Must hold a current forklift licence with relevant experience
Relevant experience as a trade assistant, with machines ideally with balers that can Identify, analyse, and troubleshoot faults on the baler to ensure efficient operation
Relevant experience in manufacturing, logistics, recycling/waste management, or similar industry
Skilled and safe use of relevant plant and equipment required to effectively and efficiently complete required tasks
Understands and applies quality control techniques
Undertakes other duties as directed
Works with minimal supervision
