About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Civil Estimator to join our Tender Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects; including bridges, utilities, road, rail and public domain. This role requires strong analytical skills, thorough knowledge of civil construction processes and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyse project plans, specifications and scope of work to develop detailed cost estimates.

Prepare quantity take-offs and pricing for materials, labour, equipment and subcontractors.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers and subcontractors to gather relevant data.

Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate cost overruns.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction costs, market trends and supplier pricing.

Prepare bid proposals and submit to clients within specified deadlines.

Assist in post-bid analysis and value engineering as needed.

Skills, Qualifications & Other Requirements

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline (or working towards completion).

Proven experience as a Civil Estimator in the construction industry (3+ years preferred).

Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.

Effective communication and negotiation skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn estimating software.

Experience with civil estimating software is required.

Australian work authorisation is required at the time of application.
