St Peter's College is a Catholic Co-educational Secondary College in Melbourne's south-east region that has a proud history of fostering the educational and spiritual development of its students. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the ongoing, part-time (0.8FTE – days by negotiation) position of Student Counsellor. The position is available for commencement for the January 2026 school year, or earlier by negotiation and based at our Clyde North Campus. The Student Counsellor is a Level 3, Category B employee within the Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Limited Schools and Secretariat Agreement 2022. The full-time current salary range is $75,459 to $85,919. This position receives paid school holidays.

Applicants must hold a recognised counselling degree.

Current registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) or similar is required.

A minimum of 3-5 years of counselling experience and previous experience in school or youth counselling are preferred.

The successful applicant will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic Education and to the safety and wellbeing of children and will hold a current Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
