About the Role

Challenger Security is proud to partner with a leading global retail technology client to deliver premium security services across their retail network.

We are seeking a professional and experienced Retail Security Coordinator to oversee and enhance security operations across multiple store locations.

This is a key leadership role responsible for maintaining the safety of employees, customers, and assets while supporting a welcoming and innovative retail environment. The Security Coordinator will serve as the vital link between store teams, Challenger Security, and the client’s Retail Security Business Partners to ensure the highest standards of protection and service.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct training for store employees on emergency response, de-escalation, theft prevention, and personal safety awareness.
• Perform regular security risk assessments and report findings to the relevant RSBP.
• Monitor and maintain in-store security systems (CCTV, alarms, etc.) and escalate any issues promptly.
• Oversee the performance and deployment of in-store security guards to ensure optimal coverage and efficiency.
• Collaborate with RSBPs on incident management, investigations, and operational reviews.
• Support major retail events such as new store openings and product launches, including queue management and coordination with local authorities.
• Travel between assigned retail stores to conduct assessments and respond to emergency situations.
• Partner with Challenger Security’s operations team to ensure contractual obligations and service excellence are consistently achieved.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter theft and ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.
• Enforce safety protocols and assist during incidents or emergencies.
• Prepare accurate reports and incident documentation for both client and management.
• Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5–7 years of retail security experience, including supervisory or coordination responsibilities.
• Proven background in high-end or technology-focused retail environments preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Calm and decisive under pressure, with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Solid understanding of security systems and reporting requirements.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Physically capable of standing, walking, and patrolling for extended periods.
• Relevant security licence, First Aid/CPR certification, and training in crisis management or de-escalation techniques are advantageous.
